Christmas Light Displays in Charleston South Carolina

Looking for something fun to do this Holiday season? How about bundling up the family and going out to see some Christmas lights! There are many streets in Charleston that take pride in their extravagantly decorated houses. So consider going out, getting some hot chocolate, and taking a nice drive or walk through one of these neighborhoods. You will feel like you’re walking through a winter wonderland!

Holiday Festival of Lights:
Of course we would be completely remiss if we left this one out! The Holiday Festival of Lights is located in the James Island County Park. There’s over 2 million lights this year, and it is sure to be a sight you will want to see. This is the only event on our list that will cost you anything; viewing costs $15 for your car to drive through or $3 per person for a train ride through.
Location: 871 Riverland Drive, Charleston, SC 29412.

Park Circle:
Park Circle is up on the North side of Charleston. On a normal day, Park Circle is already a beautiful area to visit, but now that it’s decked out in Christmas lights, it’s a must see! Finish your night with some good eats and check out Extra Virgin Pizzeria only a block away.

Bayview Farms Subdivision:
Bayview Farms is home to some of the best-decorated houses around. In fact, anywhere around this subdivision you are sure to find beautifully-lit homes!

St. Johns Wood Subdivision:
Safe cozy neighborhood that is lots of fun to walk around with the family!

Pine Forest Country Club:
Last year our favorite house was at the Pine Forest Country Club. There are many beautifully decorated homes to see all over the neighborhood!

Camp Rd:
On Camp Rd near the intersection of Folly Rd, there are many amazing light displays. There are also some great restaurants nearby to grab a bite to eat before or after looking at the lights.

Dorchester Road End:
These guys go all out with Christmas Spirit. Check it out!

James Island Riverland Terrace:
Just a walk away from the Holiday Festival of Lights, you can hit both on the same night! If it’s an adult only hangout, we’d recommend checking out the Smoky Oak Taproom for some great beer and BBQ!
