Piccolo Spoleto Arts Festival

Where: Cathedral of St. Luke and St. Paul

When: May 27th – June 12th

Charleston is proud to host the 46th Annual Piccolo Spoleto Arts Festival once again. Watch painting presentations and see the work of incredible artists in a beautiful open-air festival for the whole family.

The festival’s program features visual arts, music, dance, theater, children’s activities, and much more. There’s a little something for everyone at the Piccolo Spoleto Festival. If you’re searching for cultural things to do in Charleston on Memorial Day Weekend, this is the festival for you!

Run Charlie Run 5K

Where: Starts at Joseph P. Riley Jr. Park

When: May 28, 2022, 3:30 PM

What better way to spend Memorial Day than staying active and putting yourself to the test with a 5k run! This fantastic Memorial Day activity in Charleston will be held rain or shine, and the proceeds benefit the MUSC Children’s Hospital.

Sign up ahead of time to claim your spot, shirt, and race bib. All runners will also receive a complimentary ticket to a MILB baseball game, so don’t miss out!

Charleston Men’s Chorus Memorial Day Concert

Where: Cathedral of St. Luke & St. Paul

When: May 30, 2022, at 12 PM

Let’s not forget that Memorial Day is all about honoring our country’s brave fallen soldiers. A great way to honor their memory is enjoying the annual concert from the Charleston Men’s Chorus. This year’s concert has been moved to the Cathedral of St. Luke and St. Paul, which should make for an even more extraordinary performance.

Memorial Day Charleston Field of Honor

Where: Marion Square

When: May 27 (open to all from 10 am – 4 pm)

Honor our fallen heroes on Monday, May 27 by visiting the Charleston Field of Honor in Marion Square. Your ticket will get you one flag to place on the field to remember those who lost their lives.

Tickets for flags serve as a donation to help support local Charleston veterans and families by providing Emergency Relief and funds for the Veteran Housing Program. They ask a suggested donation of $20 or $50 that will go straight to the cause.

80’s Bar Crawl on King Street

Where: Starts at The Brick

When: May 25 (3 pm – 6 pm)

For a blast from the past, celebrate Memorial Day weekend in Charleston by digging up your 80’s gear and enjoying the neighborhood brews. You’ll check in at the Brick for a scorecard and some radical swag and hop from bar to bar old school style.

In addition to prizes, drink specials and a guaranteed good time, a portion of the proceeds supports the Charleston Animal Society. So dig up those Chucks and bright shirts and crawl over to The Brick on May 25.

Idlewild Revival: A Musical Tribute to The Allman Brothers

Where: Charleston Music Hall

When: May 29, 2021, 6 PM – 9 PM

Bring your family and relax to some classic Allman Brothers’ tunes this Memorial Day weekend. Idlewild is Charleston’s premier Happy Hour concert series and offers great music in an incredible outdoor venue. Get your tickets soon though as capacity is limited this year due to social distancing protocols.

Deep Water Vineyard Weekend Wine-Down

Where: Wadmalaw Island

When: May 29 (10 am – 1 pm)
